CALL FOR ENTRIES

1. Presentations for Panel Sessions

 

The colloquium will have three panel sessions, one each for presentations by students (including graduates who would like to present work done as a student), tutors and independent researchers. Individual presentations will be followed by a moderated panel discussion on emerging themes. Interested participants are invited to send a 300-word abstract and a 150-word profile for their presentation. The abstract should focus on sharing academic work that responds to the colloquium brief and concerns. Submitted abstracts will undergo a blind-review process. The Review Committee will select 3-4 abstracts for each Panel Session. Selected participants will be requested to prepare a 12-15-minute presentation for the colloquium. The abstract submission deadline is 19th February, 2023, 11.59pm.

Submission Guidelines:

●       The abstract submission is required to be made as per the given template as a single MS Word file. Please download the template before opening.

●       Please name your submission as “Presentation Abstract_Full Name”.

●       Student-tutor joint presentations are acceptable. In this case, please clearly mention the first author.

●       Participants will receive an email notification about receipt of submission within a week of the submission deadline.

●       Submission, once uploaded, will be final.

2. Poster Presentations

 

We also invite abstract submissions from students for poster presentations. The work undertaken can be a component of a larger studio with a different theme, or a specific/ smaller exercise done as part of a course, or any other work where gender and space was discussed. Interested participants are invited to send a 300-word abstract and a 150-word profile for their poster. The abstract should focus on sharing academic work that responds to the colloquium brief and concerns. Submitted abstracts will undergo a blind-review process. The Review Committee will select a total of 10 abstracts. Selected participants will be requested to prepare a A1/A2 size poster and present it during the colloquium. The abstract submission deadline is 19th February, 2023, 11.59 pm.

 

Submission Guidelines:

●      The abstract submission is required to be made as per the given template as a single MS Word file. Please download the template before opening.

●       Please name your submission as “Poster Abstract_Full Name”.

●       Only work undertaken as a student is eligible for the poster presentations.

●   Participants can submit an abstract for a study either as a poster or as a presentation. Multiple submissions for the same study will not be accepted in either category.

●       Participants will receive an email notification about receipt of submission within a week of the submission deadline.

●       Submission, once uploaded, will be final.

3. Photography Exhibition

 

We invite one and all to participate in a photography exhibition based on the following themes:

●       Gender & The Domestic Space

●       Gender & The Construction Site

●       Gender & The City

●       Gender & Public Transport

●       Gender & The Academic Space

●       Gender & Leisure

 

The deadline for the photograph/s entry is 26th March, 2023.

 

Submission Guidelines:

●       Maximum 2 photographs can be submitted per participant. The resolution of images must be 300 dpi.

●       Submission must be in JPEG format only. Each photograph should be submitted as a separate file. File size should not exceed 5MB. Each file must be named as: “Photo_Full Name_Sl No.”.

●       All photos must have a caption. This can be written on a separate word file named: “Photo Caption_Full Name_Sl No.”.
